Meeting the STEM Challenge
Shortage of graduates
There has been a steady flow of reports and studies in recent years arguing that many individual countries, especially in Europe and North America, have a chronic shortage of STEM higher education (HE) graduates and this is a serious impediment to economic growth.
The Global STEM Forum Series
Over 2014- 2015 we are undertaking a series of global forums in different parts of the world bringing together higher education, policymakers and in particular employers with both worldwide and regional presence in the STEM field.
The forums will aim to establish what the major challenges are in access to STEM higher education and develop a portfolio of approaches that GAPS can take forward. We will then seek support to pilot and scale up new global activity models in this field.
