No one educates anyone else nor do we educate ourselves, we educate one another in communion in the context of living in this world.
In 2017, the Global Access to Postsecondary Education (GAPS) initiative will convene the second World Congress devoted to equitable access to and success in postsecondary education.
The World Congress will:
- Bring together policy makers, institutional leaders and practitioners in the field of access and success.
- Build the case for improving education pathways and outcomes.
- Engage governments, policymakers, educational institutions, employers, social innovators, students, educators, researchers and others in a collective agenda for change.
- Share approaches, build communities of practice and create new social partnerships.
- Place students and youth at the core of efforts to improve access to and success in postsecondary education.
- Develop an agenda for action and frame future projects that will guide future affords.

Who should participate in São Paulo 2017?
Everyone interested in broadening access to and success in postsecondary education is encouraged to participate. The World Congress offers an opportunity to create a new space for dialogue on exclusion and inclusion in postsecondary education. Come and meet with postsecondary representatives and social movement activists from around the world!
Who is behind the World Congress?
The GAPS initiative, started in 2011, is an independent, non-profit and non-governmental organization incorporated in The Hague, The Netherlands. GAPS aims to build a global, engaged & collaborative access and success community that will champion postsecondary education for all and transform student opportunity. The first World Congress was convened in Montreal in 2013 and a regional conference in Kuala Lumpur in 2015.
